Lors de ce weekend de peinture à l'huile, nous invitons les peintres de tous niveaux, des débutants aux avancés à travailler avec l'incroyable Lizet Dingemans sur les natures mortes. Pendant ces deux jours, Lizet proposera un enseignement personnalisé et individuel dans un petit groupe de maximum 8 personnes. Stage en anglais.

Programme

Day 1 :

Health and safety talk.

How to set up your palette.

Tutor demonstration of a three value white object. Setting up 3 values using raw umber and white.

Students paint a three value wet in wet study by using a half tone all over a canvas and adding the darks and lights with thicker paint using gestalt and mass drawing theory.

Then onto colour! Setting up a single object still life. Tutor demo of mixing colours.

Day 2 :

Tutor demo of wipe out techniques. Wipe out a 3 object still life.

Painting a fully finished painting using alla prima techniques using your own objects.

Along the way, you will learn about:

Drawing in paint, using comparative measurement. (getting the right patches of paint in the right place)

Values (making sure the patches are light or dark enough)

Edges (how the patches of paint sit next to each other and blend)

Colours, and how to mix them for alla prima painting.

You will also learn about brushes, paints, mediums, solvents and paints and how they interact for different effects.

How to set up a still life in oils.

Manipulating oil paint using different brushes (hog vs synthetic)

Goal is not to have a finished painting, but to feel confident painting in oils at home.
